Fiona Avocado (they/them) is a queer and feminist artist, educator, and organizer born and raised in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The works Fiona creates incorporate printmaking, digital and analog illustration, comics, zine making, and assembling textile pieces from upcycled materials. Fiona is passionate about connecting with people, sharing personal and collective narratives through art, and imagining and creating a better, more just world. Fiona is also the organizer of the Itty Bitty Print Exchange, an international print exchange established in 2020. Fiona received their MFA in Printmaking from Ohio University and is currently based in Pittsburgh, PA, where they work out of Lavender Estero Studio.
