Fiona Avocado is a queer visual artist, educator, organizer, and writer. Fiona has been an active working artist since 2010, publishing comics and zines, creating illustrations, making prints, and assembling textile pieces using upcycled materials. Fiona’s art practice is multifaceted and explores many subjects, including everyday life, personal identity, political and social issues, alternate universes, and glittery daydreams. Fiona has taught art with many organizations, most recently at Ohio University, The American Swedish Institute, Minneapolis Public Schools, and the Minneapolis Institute of Art.  Fiona received their MFA in Printmaking from Ohio University in Spring 2022.
