Fiona Avocado is a queer artist, educator, organizer, and writer. While Fiona has been an artist and writer in some shape or form her whole life, she has been self publishing comics and zines, creating illustrations, and making prints since 2010. Fiona’s art practice is multifaceted and explores many subjects, including everyday life, personal identity, political and social issues, alternate universes, and glittery daydreams. Fiona is a Teaching Artist with COMPAS, and has taught art with many organizations, most recently The American Swedish Institute, Minneapolis Public Schools, and the Minneapolis Institute of Art.  Fiona is also a former organizer of the Twin Cities Zine Fest. Fiona resides in Minneapolis.
